 The Second Mile is full of activity, year 'round, but with the approach of spring and summer, the pace quickens. See our special events calendar for the latest in Second Mile fund-raising events. Second Mile events are known for the unusually high ratio of funds returned to directly affect our ability to serve children. From Art auctions and Golf Tournamants to Sports Banquets and large prize drawings, there is a place for everyone to have fun while supporting the kids.
Year-round program offerings such as our Friend and Friend Fitness programs and Nittany Lion Tips are in full swing, while the staff prepares for our Leadership Institute and Summer Challenge Camps. Foster families are participating in events and receiving much needed support. Volunteers are being recruited and trained, counselors and campers are being selected. And The Second Mile continues to identify and assist kids throughout the state.
